Activities include hypertension (blood pressure) screening, nutritional counseling, wellness promotion and educational programs, TB testing and follow-up, and investigative nursing services. Screening for hypertension and coordinated follow-up is available by appointment at the Health Department. The hypertension screenings focus on finding new persons who are at risk for high blood pressure, monitoring persons with high blood pressure, and referral to physician when abnormal readings are identified. Cholesterol screenings are available by appointment.
