Public health nurses serve the community by providing nursing services in the home, in schools, at work, and in the Health Department. Public Health Services provide assistance to families with problems related to communicable disease, maternal and child health problems, nutrition, and a host of services for the acute and chronically ill through both education and preventive measures.
